I’m Amanda Jayne, founder of Poop2Poppies. I’m a 50-year-old woman in recovery, and this brand was born from one truth I learned the hard way: some of the most beautiful things in life can grow from the messiest places.

I have lived with addiction for most of my life. Alcohol, substances, gambling, obsessive behaviours, and the constant search for something outside myself to make me feel okay. What I understand now is that addiction is not a moral failure or a lack of willpower. It is a disease, and for many people, it begins long before the first drink, drug, bet, or behaviour.

My own journey has included relapse, heartbreak, healing, seven rehabs, and more day ones than I can count. It has also included courage, growth, self-discovery, and the decision to keep getting back up no matter how many times I fell.

Poop2Poppies came to life in my backyard while I was cleaning up after my cats. One piece of poo had flowers growing out of it, and I remember thinking, well, look at that, even shit can grow something beautiful. That moment became a symbol for everything I had lived through.

Because that is what recovery has taught me. We can grow through pain. We can turn suffering into strength. We can build something meaningful from the very things that once tried to break us.

The milestone flowers were created to inspire hope, celebrate progress, and honour every stage of change, from Just for Today to 20+ Years. They exist for anyone who has fought for a better life and needed something beautiful to remind them why they keep going.

This brand was built with love - to uplift, encourage, and give back through something meaningful. My long-term mission is to support greater education, research, and compassion around addiction and recovery.
